Founded in early 2003 by Jenna Mack and Stephanie Campbell, Event Emissary has quickly become a rising star among Washington, D.C. destination management companies. Just months after the company opened for business, Event Emissary was awarded a multi-year contract to manage the prestigious Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on Constitution Avenue by the General Services Administration (GSA.) Through the efforts of our management team, Meeting Professionals International selected the Mellon as Washington, D.C.’s Unique Venue of the Year for 2004. In the years following, Event Emissary has been consistently recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of DC’s Top Meeting and Event Planning companies. In 2007, Event Emissary staff began to combine their personal interest in responsible ecology with their expertise in event planning. Leading the event field in Washington, DC, Event Emissaryhas taken extensive steps to reduce our company’s carbon footprint and begun educating our clients on the environmentally-friendly meeting and event options available to them.

It is our goal to be agents of change in the event planning industry where there is so much opportunity to foster environmental stewardship.

Within the industry, environmentally responsible options abound, many of which do not pose additional financial obligations to our clients. Nor are they even noticeable to participants and attendees. It is our job to find innovative, earth-conscience solutions and offer them to our clients. The event planning company is committed to producing the highest caliber meetings and events without compromising on quality and execution of planning. Rather, green planning allows us to examine untapped creativity and progressive ideas as we produce spectacular meetings and events.
